This sign is huge and caught my eye way down the road. The fair has been an annual event for almost 80 years, but sadly I could not find any information about this sign. I mean, if I had a great sign like this at the entrance of my event, I'd add a little blurb about it's history on my website. It has a great nostalgic look. It's a beacon of pure, unadulterated excitement, promising cotton candy, corn dogs, carnival rides, demolition derbies, livestock shows, concerts and bull riding. It’s the kind of sign that says, “Forget your diet, your budget, and your fear of heights—come ride the Zipper and eat your weight in deep-fried everything.” If you want a little reminder of county fair excitement, drive by this sign on 7th Street in Victorville, CA
