On the front of the Old Trails Garage, is this 1930's era Packard Motor Car Company neon sign with the classic "Ask The Man Who Owns One" slogan on it. The sign was recovered from the garage and restored in 2016. This isn’t just any sign, it’s a time machine, a glowing relic from an era when cars were built like tanks and neon was the siren call of the open road. It makes you want to pull over, crank up some Chuck Berry, and wonder where your tailfins went. Packards were the Rolls-Royces of their day. If you drove one, you didn’t just own a car, you owned the road. Many thanks to the owners of the garage for restoring this great piece of American automobile history! The garage has been here since 1915 in a building that was built in 1912 on what was the National Old Trails Road, Route 66’s scrappier ancestor, which was the main drag for dreamers heading west. Today, you will find it on East Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman, AZ
