Dinty Moore's Restaurant, McMinnville Tennessee

I thought this was somehow associated to Dinty Moore canned stew, but learned that it was a man's name and he opened this restaurant around the 1930's. He ran it for around 30 years and it was run by others until some time in the 1980's. I am not sure if it was always in this location, but this building was built in 1955. The Coca-Cola sign on the front of the building says Regal Begal Restaurant. I thought this was a funny coincidence, or perhaps not, as both Dinty Moore and Regal Beagle were vintage cartoon characters. I'm so glad that this sign has remained in such good shape and still in place. Such a treasured piece of history. I'm not sure when the restaurant ran under the Regal Begal name, but it's a cool old sign too. You can see them both on North Spring Street in McMinnville, TN
