Arrowhead Lodge Neon Sign, Gallup New Mexico

Some time in the 1960's, probably to catch the traveler's eye, this bright neon sign

replaced a much more subdued stone arrowhead sign for this motel that was opened in 1949. The motel is now closed but the sign remains and you can see it on Route 66 in Gallup, NM
