This sign stands like a quirky, timeworn postcard from America’s road-tripping heyday. It stands across from the former Motel, and was restored in 2012. The Motel was built shortly after WWII in 1946-47. It was only 6 guest rooms surrounding the office in one building. This six-room relic has stories baked into its walls, and while it’s no longer checking in weary travelers, it’s still kicking up dust as single-room apartments.
