Canoe Tree, Steelville Missouri

This art piece was created in 2024 as part of an on-going community art project that began in 2011. The tree represents the town's status as the Floating Capital of Missouri and has around 20 old and retired canoes on it. The canoes were donated by local float outfitters and local artists and volunteers were used to construct it. You will find it on Main Street in Steelville, MO
